Compatibility

Macintosh & Windows
Our primary production platform is the Macintosh, however we support the following applications both for Macintosh and Windows. Please call to verify support if your application is more than three years old.

•Adobe PageMaker - through version 7
(PageMaker users should consider upgrading to InDesign as support for PageMaker may end soon)•

Adobe Illustrator - version 9 through CSx

• Adobe Photoshop - version 6 through CSx

• Adobe InDesign - version 2.x through CSx

• Adobe Acrobat - versions 5 through 8

• QuarkXpress* - all versions through 7

• Macromedia Freehand - (cover files only) through version 10 and MX on Mac only (Freehand users should consider upgrading to Illustrator CS3)

• CorelDraw - (cover files only) through version 12 for PC only.

*We only use a single language version of QuarkXpress. Passport must be saved as Single-Language. International Language versions are not compatible with Single-Language versions. However, we will accept PDFs created out of International Language Versions.

Other
If the software you are using to create your pages is not listed above, you will need to supply the files as POSTSCRIPT or PDFs; particularly, non-supported applications including WordPerfect, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Publisher, and Claris Works. We can only accept files from these applications submitted as postscript or PDFs. If you have not produced postscript or PDF files for us before, we would request that you contact us for specific instructions regarding the use of the proper printer driver and the Acrobat Distiller job options settings.

Tests
We are happy to run a test file from your application, postscript or PDF files to determine compatibility at no charge. Please supply test files that accurately represent the complexity of any applications to be used in the final job.
