Caring About Our CommunityWhen you join McNaughton & Gunn, you become part of a team where members are compassionate and generous in caring about our community and environment as well as one another. Whether it's using a hammer on United Way's Day of Caring, walking for the March of Dimes WalkAmerica, providing holiday cheer to a local family through the Adopt-A-Family program or collecting money and goods for the local food bank, our people are always ready to pitch in and make a difference. The Lean ProgramMcNaughton & Gunn has chosen to employ the Lean Theory throughout the entire organization. Lean is a very broad catch phrase which describes a process of using less of everything in order to give more. Lean is a business strategy established in satisfying the customer by delivering quality products and services that meet the customers' needs while using the minimum of materials, equipment, space, labor and time. As part of the Lean Program, McNaughton & Gunn works hard to create and foster a kaizen culture where continual improvement is encouraged and supported. Our team members are committed to working on improving their processes as well as themselves. I'm InEarly in 2009, McNaughton & Gunn launched the I'm In program. Knowing that our team members are a wealth of experience and knowledge, we have instituted a program to garner ideas for process improvement. Team members are encouraged to submit their ideas no matter how large or small. Widespread participation supports our goals of excellence and helps keep the company moving forward.
Wellness Team
The M&G Wellness Team, through its various activities, strives to raise awareness of all team members on the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The membership of this team is comprised of team members across the organization. The Team sponsors activities throughout the year including on-site screenings, seminars and initiatives that challenge team members to adopt healthy eating habits and increase physical activity.
