The Principal’s 10 Best Companies 2006 

In March 2006, McNaughton & Gunn was one of 400 companies that completed an extensive survey regarding employee benefit programs for the Principal® Financial Group. From the survey results and through personal interviews Principal® learned about companies nationwide and how they are contributing to their employees’ long term financial security through benefit programs.  

In June, M&G emerged as one of The Principal® 10 Best Companies for Employee Financial Security for 2006. Particularly noted was M&G’s commitment to health care insurance, wellness and retirement savings programs.

2006 Corporate Ben Franklin Award

The Michigan Printing Week Association at the twenty-third annual Printing Week awards banquet held January 17, 2006, awarded the Corporate Ben Franklin Award to McNaughton & Gunn.  Named after the father of American printing, The Ben Franklin Award honors companies and individuals that support the graphic arts industry, local community and serve as an example of excellence for others to follow.

Cool Places to Work

McNaughton & Gunn was named one of 60 “Cool Places to Work” in Michigan in a first-of-its-kind competition jointly held by Crain’s Detroit Business and the Grand Rapids Business Journal. Selection was based both on employee nominations and on numerical scores from a workplace survey. The 60 companies have created work environments that attract and retain quality workers and recognize a balance between ‘work’ and ‘life,’ as well as one that offers training and opportunities to advance.

Work/Life Balance

McNaughton & Gunn has received a Work/Life Balance Designation Award from the Washtenaw Work/Life Consortium (WWLC) for four years running. The designation recognizes local employers who, while meeting business goals, offer options to their employees that allow for a healthy balance to the demands of their work and personal lives.
